The state of Iowa is providing a free homework help resource. It includes live tutoring, a writing lab, and practice tests (including ACT and other tests). Users need only make an account to use this service. Click HERE to get started.

Kelsey Edwards and Jaci Hayes serve as instructional coaches for GHV. These experienced educators collaborate with teachers by providing resources, feedback, modeling and professional development. They assist our staff in meeting both instructional and school improvement goals. GHV School District is in great need of bus drivers. This includes regular bus route drivers which entails a driver to be available for 2 hours in the morning to drive a route and 2 hours in the afternoon to drive that same route of students home. Compensation is for 4 hours each day for drive time.  There are also activity routes available to be paid at an hourly rate. Training time and classes will be compensated by the district. Due to a change in state funding, GHV is transitioning from GovDelivery (Iowa School Alerts) to SchoolMessenger. This includes alerts related to weather, school closings, cancellations and postponements of school activities, and similar notices. For those interested in receiving these email/text alerts, it will be necessary to sign up for SchoolMessenger, even if already registered with GovDelivery. Garner-Hayfield-Ventura CSD is looking for teacher, paraprofessional and custodial substitutes. For a paraprofessional substitute, no specific certification is required. We invite any age, male or female, to apply. Hours will vary depending on which area you are subbing. If you think this could be for you, please call and inquire at any of our buildings.

Garner-Hayfield-Ventura School Board meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 pm in the GHV High School library. Visitors are welcome to attend. The next regular school board meeting is Monday, February 14, 2022.
